Happy Healthy New Year! It's the season for delicious winter whites.
Winter white is timeless, elegant, and the chicest of all winter fashion looks. It may be neutral, but it is never boring with so many ways to inspire any outfit.
Consider that winter white is a category all of its own. It is not a bright white like vanilla ice cream but more like French vanilla in shades of warm creamy white, pale pearl, buttermilk yellow, taupe, and gray that combine beautifully with icy blue, chocolate brown, camel, caramel and, of course, black.
Where to begin? Let's start with a base layer and build our entire outfit around it.
The above KHY catsuit is everything! I was fortunate to purchase it in black before it sold out when the collection launched but I am now patiently waiting for the bone shade to be re-stocked. It is truly an amazing fit and flattering style to wear to work, brunch and shopping or out to dinner. The material is a thick mix of cotton and spandex so it is very comfortable and fits like a glove with seam and zip details and thumbholes for added flair. Dress it down with a puffer jacket and hiking boots or dress it up with ideas I am featuring here.
Let's now dive in with shades of winter white boots to complement our base layer!
Stuart Weitzman never disappoints season after season. His Yuliana 85 Slouch Boot design is the perfect shade of winter white with a gray undertone and the heel height is perfect for your daytime wardrobe. It's subtle and muted yet makes an alluring statement.
Miss Lola always makes my "catwalk to sidewalk" list and does it yet again with this luscious designer-inspired below the knee platform boot in a soft shade of cream and with its savvy price tag you may desire to covet this boot in a second color!
Outwear becomes the outfit and no one loves a faux fur more than me especially when it's shown in decadent winter white... there are no words! This coat from Anthropologie is simply stunning and will fluidly drape over any outfit.
If your vibe is calling for a cropped faux fur coat look no further than this beauty from Jessica Bara. The cropped jacket looks fabulous paired with faux leather joggers.
Opting to feature an accessory I showcased last spring but only this time in winter white to marry everything together which is this stunning all over sequin flower tie from Cynthia Rowley which can be worn as a belt, hair accessory, or necklace. Tie as a belt over a long line faux fur coat for Parisian chic.
Always top off your winter style with a hat. The Harlowe from Eugenia Kim is simply charming and pairs perfectly with any plush faux fur and over-the-knee boots.
Wear these choices together for the complete monochromatic winter white palette or dress up any outfit with a few of these versatile key pieces. The options are endlessly beautiful and will wake up any dreary cold winter day.
I hope you enjoy my variations of winter white style and incorporate these ideas into your wardrobe!
